�St Brides Church is a church in the City of London, England. The buildings most recent incarnation was designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1672 in Fleet Street in the City of London, though Wrens original building was largely gutted by fire during the London Blitz in 1940. Due to its location in Fleet Street, it has a long association with journalists and newspapers. The church is a distinctive sight on Londons skyline and is clearly visible from a number of locations. Standing 226 feet (69m) high, it is the second tallest of all Wrens churches, with only St Pauls itself having a higher pinnacle.� (St Brides Church, Wikipedia)

Designed in the Catalan modernista style by the architect Llu�s Dom�nech i Montaner, it was built between 1905 and 1908 for the Orfe� Catal�, a choral society founded in 1891 that was a leading force in the Catalan cultural movement that came to be known as the Renaixen�a (Catalan Rebirth). It was inaugurated February 9, 1908. The project was financed primarily by the society, but important financial contributions also were made by Barcelona's wealthy industrialists and bourgeoisie. This thoroughfare interconnects with smaller side streets of similar style, linking together the citys temples and major public buildings. At the middle of it there was Palmyras Triumphal Arch, or gate of Palmyra as it is known by the Syrian people. This Roman archway was one of the most beautiful of the many notable monuments in the ancient city, built in the third century CE by Septimius Severus. In the late summer of 2015, the arch, together with a number of other important structures on the site, was reduced to rubble by extremists who had occupied the ancient city since the spring. The Institute for Digital Archaeology was, at that time, in the early stages of a documentation and cultural heritage protection project in collaboration with the people of the region.
